Larry Jacobson

Larry Jacobson

Chief Executive Officer

After successfully completing a Structural Engineering Technology diploma from SAIT in 1971 and earning his stripes as an Estimator and Project Manager, Larry co-founded Barjac Construction Management with George Barnes in 1980. Barnes and Jacobson (Barjac) started with a focus on infrastructure projects for the first 15 years of operation, until 1996 when they were commissioned to build Varsity Chrysler in Calgary. The build was a success and Barjac quickly became the automotive builder of choice in Calgary, constructing over 70 of Calgary’s most iconic dealerships. In 2000, George Barnes retired from Barjac and Larry continued to grow the business into one of Calgary’s most recognizable construction companies. In 2008, he sold the company to Mike Ruttan to spend more time with his family and pursue his passions for boating and fishing. Larry remains an integral part of the business, acting as CEO and mentor to the current leadership group..

Enzo Petruzzelli

Director of Projects and Design

Enzo’s passion for design began in high school where he was first exposed to the genius of AutoCAD. Like a duck to water, he was set on a career as a Draftsman and pursued a diploma from SAIT in Engineering Design and Drafting Technologies. In April 2008, he accepted a role with Barjac as Draftsman/Coordinator where he was exposed to all facets of the design-build and construction management business and was entrusted to perform whenever and wherever his drive, enthusiasm, and design skills were best utilized, which is a gesture that holds great meaning for him today.

Chris Kelly

General Superintendent

Chris began his career in the construction industry from a young age working under the mentorship of his uncle, a General Contractor, evenings and weekends. His skills as a carpenter took him into the custom cabinetry business and eventually to build his own business in the home renovation industry. He joined Barjac in 2009 as a carpenter, working his way into a Foreman position and eventually to General Superintendent. Barjac provides him with the right balance of working with a smaller, family-oriented company with an excellent reputation for continuously winning large-scale unique and challenging projects.
